I always play as a woman in SR2 and I really wanted to change things up a bit for this installation. However, the female builds and options are far superior ... again. I will not go into much detail, but an example is the way ALL the clothes look good on females, while men's clothing only looks good on men. Well, at least in my opinion, that is. So basically gives women twice the amount of clothing available. And that's bad, and the feel of the story line will probably be more room to play as a boy. But again, that's just my opinion. Any other member of my boat? Want to play as a friend, but after playing with the IS change your mind?

Always choose a woman when given a choice. That is because most games do not have a choice and having to play as a male character. He would have been too old by now, if only men could play as in games.
ReplyDeleteI played Saints Row I have not put down until the next has left. I'll probably end up playing with about a thousand male characters, thousands of women, a couple of characters in a bad state. Then just for sex while I'm playing the game constantly a couple of times. If you buy a game after buying a game, you do not have to play just one or two times their Saints Row does play up his hand fall and melt the eyes.
ReplyDeleteI usually just up the game as a woman if you had a choice, plain and simple. But you're right in clothes, a kind of bonus. Or are you a woman or a child regular tom-tough in that regard. Whereas if you're a guy, or you're a normal man or one with a transvestite.
ReplyDeleteChoose a character in a game of video game / computer does not mean that you are the character of reality. Using logic, the only way people could play Starfox would be if they were foxes them, it was not the case. You are allowed and able to play any character you want in the game, either a male, the female character, character or animal outside without having to worry other orientation.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the comments are the reason so few games that you play as women, while the male lead after the same male lead in fact to the ideas of death. I only play as a woman so my choice in games is very limited after getting sick to the back teeth of male characters and the same ideas that offer tired of doing nothing, but only to show dull blows, chest egocentric and lack imagination and a woman then you do not see why I should play as a genre that I have no desire to be. A male and female game does not make them gay, they are doing something that so few male players - have an open mind. Choice of gender and should be playable female characters in games more often if the industry is to be accepted as an equal in the media as a whole rather than being seen as an immature, only children's club.
ReplyDeleteI am a woman and now prefer to play as a woman. But when I was just playing with options for a man who made me strip huge! My shoulder was the size of my head and clothes that made him even bigger! I had to go back and get my boy Skinner only to have it looked as if inflated with steroids! so if anything I got with women so that instead of clothing options.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with female protagonists in most games today is that they are still written by men for men, and sometimes it is painfully obvious that the point where it becomes annoying and even degrading. Playing the female lead role often has the game even treat you like a man instead of a woman. I guess it does not matter much to the kids, id, but can sometimes bothers me kind of way. It was the same in Saints Row 2, you can play as a child, but the game still treat him as a boy. The choice of women is more often than not only an aesthetic complement, without real merit to it. Was the same in Mass Effect games - sure there are few options in the dialogue takes into account gender, but for most it is only superficial eye candy that makes you feel like a guy with a girl in the suit. Sometimes, I really prefer to play a leading man, if the story and the character is well written, instead of playing a female heroine that was just added at the last minute so the boys can have a nice ass to contemplate while is playing.
ReplyDeleteI played SR1 as a man because he had no choice. I played as a kind of SR2, because no matter what as my female character. No matter what I picked. Besides, I like the clothing choices. I guess it's fun to play as something you're not, it is not real in the first place. I also see a character fun seems that not even a celebrity or just someone you like.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that an action game marketed to women as the main goal in mind could succeed, but from a standpoint of developers who'd probably still be more profitable to continue the male audience as the focal point, and maintain the women's section as complementary, as is now. But I'm sure that eventually we will see games that have been written for a female lead, with the male being the extra option. It is not really necessary nor a point of provocation, but it will be refreshing when (if) it happens. As I said, I'm fine with how things are now, and clearly they are moving in a direction favorable to us.
